Families with young children will be delighted to learn that the Children's Services department will begin circulating a new collection of Early Literacy resources in February. The collection will contain thematic tote bags filled with picture books, audiovisual resources, toys and activity guides that will encourage and enhance pre-reading and pre-writing skills.

To celebrate the launch, families are invited to attend a concert by musician Carole Peterson of Macaroni Soup on Saturday February 6 at 1:30 p.m. Carole's upbeat concerts are guaranteed to have kids wriggling and giggling, hopping and stomping and singing along!

Call or stop by the Children's Reference Desk to register. Tickets will be needed for admission to the concert.
