Just for KIDS

It's hard to believe the time is so near!   But in less than a week, kids will start the new school year -- new teachers, new friends, new learning adventures, and loads of fun!

School Information

Each of the Wauconda area schools has its own website with school calendars, lunch menus, teacher contact information and more.

Wauconda Area Community Information Network website is the gateway to:

District #118 Schools Private Schools
Local Colleges Childcare/Preschool Programs
PTO's School Report Cards

Construction updates are available on the District #118 website.

Parent/Teacher & Home School Resources

Formerly an area just for parents, the Parent/Teacher Collection, located in Children's Services, has been expanded to address the needs of home schools, teachers and early education specialists.  Materials are for adults seeking information about behavior, psychology, development and education for children from birth through the teenager years.

Families engaged in home education will find the Parent/Teacher collection a rich resource for developing curricular units.  Library orientation tours and special request loans are available.  Call the Children's Reference Desk at 847-526-6225 x211 to make arrangements.

  Wauconda High School Required

Parents, did you know your Wauconda High School student is required to read a book over the summer?  Teens, did you lose the list or forget which book you have to read?  The Library to the rescue!  Click here for a list of the titles by grade level.  We also have copies of the lists and books at the Adult Reference Desk

Call the Library at 847-526-6225 or try the online catalog to see if the book you want is available.
