Stop by the Wauconda Area Library and find out!

World Pantry Tour & Tastes
on Saturday, November 4 at 2:00 p.m.

Take a tour of the international pantry we have at our doorstep with local author, Marilyn Pocius, of A Cook's Guide to Chicago.  Discover unusual ingredients by sniffing, tasting and sampling.  Learn how to make use of these delightful goodies just in time for the holidays!

An Afternoon with Jane Austen, Emily Bronte and Emily Dickinson
on Sunday, November 5 at 2:00 p.m.

Celebrate three classic women writers who dared to break the male dominated 19th century literary scene with storyteller, Patricia Hruby Powell, who will portray each writer in full costume.

This program is partially sponsored by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council.

An Immigrant Class: Oral Histories from Chicago's Newest Immigrants
on Monday, November 6 at 7:00 p.m.

Author, Jeff Libman, documented the unique experiences and emotions of twenty recent immigrants from various countries in the world.  Winner of the 2005 Crystal Book Award, An Immigrant Class, is filled with hope and disappointment, success and setback.  This multi-media presentation will challenge the strongest stereotypes about immigrants today.
