Festivities for Children "Join the
Circle of Knowledge @ Your Library!"
Renowned
storyteller Jim May
will share is entertaining stories on Saturday, April 19 at
2 p.m. This program will delight children of all
ages and is generously sponsored by the Friends of the
Library.
Calling all baking booklovers for our
Booklicious event! Here's your chance to
decorate a sheet cake as your favorite book and have it
publicly displayed in the Lincoln Room on Sunday, April 20
from 12:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Pre-register at the
Children's or Adult Services Reference Desk before April
18th. Cakes can be dropped off and arranged on Saturday,
April 19 between 1:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Prizes
awarded!
Help create a
Readers' Chain by checking out books during National
Library Week. For every book, you will receive a
paper strip to deposit in a ballot box at the Circulation
Desk. Staff will collect the strips each day and
create a paper chain to hang in the Children's
department. Let's see how long we can make
it!
A rainbow
assortment of book shapes will adorn the windows and
walls of the Children's department. Pick up a
tally sheet at the Children's Reference Desk and start
counting! Fun prizes for those who find them
all.
