
In celebration of Youth Art Month the library will be hosting “Studio 118,” an exhibit featuring artwork rendered by District 118 students. Over 350 pieces of mixed media art, including works in pastels, watercolor, oil, clay and metal, will be displayed throughout the library.
Awards presentations honoring those students whose artwork was chosen to be included in the show will be held in the Lincoln Meeting Room at the library.

Wauconda Middle School
at 6:30 p.m.
Matthews Middle School
at 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, February 23
Robert Crown School at 6:30 p.m.
Thursday, February 24
Wauconda High School at 7 p.m.
Saturday, February 26
Wauconda Grade School - Grades 1-3 at 10:00 a.m.
Wauconda Grade School - Grades 4-5 at 11:00 a.m.
Cotton Creek School - Grades 1 - 3 at 12:00 p.m.
Cotton Creek School - Grades 4 - 5 at 1 p.m.
Youth Art Month, sponsored by the Council for Art Education, seeks to develop self-esteem, appreciation of the work of others, self-expression, cooperation with others, and critical thinking skills through art. These skills are vital to the success of our future leaders -- our children.
Be sure to stop by the library see for yourself the remarkable talent of our District 118 art student! Studio 118 will be on display at the library through March 22.
