Library Access on the go!

Smart PhoneIn an effort to expand access to online resources and services, the library developed an updated version of the website that is optimized for handheld, web-enabled mobile phones and devices. The mobile version of our website features the ability to:

  • Find the library's hours, phone number, or driving directions
  • Access to new titles and New York Times bestsellers
  • Search our catalog or access your library account
  • Place items on hold or renew checked-out items
  • Find upcoming events, register for library programs, or contact a librarian
  • Download eBooks and eAudiobooks
  • Download free apps for special access

Access the mobile site at or by going to the library's homepage and clicking on Mobile Website in the grid in the upper right corner of the homepage. On each page of the mobile site, there are links to the full website. In most cases, popular smartphones will redirect a user to the mobile website if they simply enter in the Library’s normal website address.

Give it a try the next time you're on the go!

What should I read next?

After a long winter and not so great spring, you may have spent a lot of time reading. With summer coming, you may be thinking "What should I read next?" Or maybe you discovered a new series and want to read the books in order. Or your book club is searching for something to read next month. Where to look?

Try NoveList Plus!

NoveList PlusThe library subscribes to an online service called NoveList Plus. NoveList Plus is a comprehensive reader's advisory database that is searchable by titles, authors, series, and genres. You can use NoveList Plus to:

    • Browse titles by genre and subgenre - for example, search historical fiction by time period
    • Find your favorite author and discover author readalikes
    • Easily determine a series order
    • Get recommended reading lists for adults, teens, ages 9-12 or 0-8
    • Access hundreds of book discussion guides

NoveList Plus contains both fiction and non-fiction titles, depending on your interest. Most titles also list reviews from several professional sources.

NoveList Plus has two services - one for teens and adults and one for kids.

Access NoveList Plus in the library or from home with your Wauconda Area Library card.
