Program Description

Event Details

Thirty-Five years after the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, animal behaviorist and photographer Stephen Quandt participated in a spay/neuter campaign for the dogs who descended from the abandoned pets when Chernobyl City was evacuated in 1986. Extremely high levels of radiation linger, but nature - including a few humans - have found a way to survive in the harsh climate created in the wake of the world’s worst nuclear disaster.

Despite the terrifying circumstances, Stephen’s story is one of resilience, hope, life and heroism. Featuring intimate photos and videos documenting his journey, join us as Stephen shares his experience of working in one of most dangerous and frightening places on Earth.
