Tax Forms and Assistance
The Library receives limited federal and state income tax forms for individuals. Tax forms are usually available beginning in February, and are located at the Adult Help desk.
Please be aware that library staff cannot answer your tax questions or tell you which tax form to use.
Tax forms and instructions can be photocopied or printed from the Internet. Please ask at the Adult Help Desk for assistance.
The free tax service provided in the past by the American Association for Retired Persons (AARP) has been discontinued by AARP, because they could no longer provide volunteer experts for the Wauconda Area Library. Please click here to find the nearest library that still provides this service.
The Center for Economic Progress offers free income tax counseling for families will annual incomes less than $50,000 and individuals with annual incomes less than $25,000 https://www.goladderup.org/our-services/tax-assistance/#services
