The Library will close early on Wednesday, November 27th at 5:00 p.m. and remain closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 28th. We will reopen at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, November 29th.

Mary Harris Jones was an Irish-American labor rights activist with many ties to Chicago.  Hear her story as told by Professor Elliot Gorn, Chair of American Urban History at Loyola University Chicago, in celebration of Women's History Month.
